What do I do in an emergency?
We provide a 24 hour emergency service every day of the year.
This service can be simply advice from the duty veterinary surgeon to help your
situation, or if required, an appointment will be made with the duty vet at one of
the fully equipped surgeries that provide emergency care.
In such cases traveling to the emergency centre tends to be the best possible
course of action for your pet, accessing full emergency facilities as rapidly as
possible.
If you need assistance out of normal working hours then simply telephone the usual
surgery number, 01553 773168 or 01366 386655, and you will be connected to our
emergency answering service who will take your details and pass them to the duty
vet who will quickly contact you.
We care for our hospitalised in-patients in our own hospital facilities, and attend
to them with regular checks after hours. All animals receive the care they require,
with fluids and pain relief regularly monitored. Staff do not stay in the kennels
through the night once the patients are settled, but provide whatever attention they
need, whenever they need it.
